“Seven children. Two parents. In a three bedroom house. At the time it felt like we were living in a mansion. It really did. It was great because everybody - it was a close family. We still are to this day. As I mentioned, music was always kind of the centerpiece of our family. It was always a musical going on in the family. My mother, because of so many kids, she would often times tell us: ok, y’all go and think up a little song or skip da doo for me and your dad. And then we’d be excited and we’d go and: ok, we gonna play this and do this and then I’m gonna say this and then Mark you play this on the saxophone. And then we’d come back and do a little thing for them. It was fun. It was a great upbringing.”
