About
Arts Collective is a Baltimore based non-profit organization with a mission to unify and transform community through the power of art. Art allows people to express themselves and explore who they are. Additionally, art has an immense power to heal and promote change. Arts Collective believes that art, at its core, is both rooted in social change and plays a vital role in bringing about change.
Founded by Sarah Berns-Zieve (BZ) in 2017, Arts Collective launched as an outlet for the creative expression of alumni, students, and faculty of Baltimore School for the Arts. In 2021 The Arts Collective at BSFA transitioned to being known as Arts Collective.
We envision and carry out public art projects, collect local artists’ stories, and highlight all the amazing creativity occurring in our community. We are beginning to curate events such as artist dinners that prompt dialogue around how we collectively can build a sustainable art industry and environment in Baltimore City. Check out our roadmap below and join us in this journey!
Arts Collective aspires to promote community healing and growth through the exposure, engagement, and creation of local art. We seek to unify artists through innovative collaboration in order to transform and nurture our artistic community in Baltimore.
