“I actually grew up in Brooklyn, New York. I just moved here last August. It’s better for me though, Baltimore School for the Arts. I was going to a regular public school out in Brooklyn. It’s better for me over here. I love Baltimore. I love new things. People are naturally just more loving and caring, to me. In New York everything is a competition. Over here is more supportive. I like that. When I was living in New York I always just felt like the outcast or that I was different. I just feel like from there that's kind of how I started music. Started learning how to produce on my own. I was always the drummer. My brother was the athlete. He started rapping and I started making beats for him. That’s how I kind of started with this music thing. I'm also a producer and a rapper. I feel like through all of that, it’s just like a conduit for me, from my experiences. When I’m drumming it feels like nothing else matters except for that thing. I'm always in chase of the perfect sound. It’s fun to me, fun to my brain. I'll be in class and I'm always thinking about my music. It’s in the family, people say, oh it’s in your blood, but I don't know. Music is very healing, very therapeutic. I'm still trying to shut out other things with music, but I’m going to start trying to face things with music. It’s gradual, but that’s something that I’m still overcoming.”
